For some reason I made an IRC bot in bash.

Usage

$ ./bashbot2 --help
    Usage:
        bashbot2 [OPTIONS...]

        Options:
            -s, --server SERVER
                        IP or domain name of the IRC server
            
            -p, --port PORT
                        Which port to connect to
            
            -c, --channel CHANNEL
                        Name of the channel this bot should join
            
            -n, --nick NICK
                        Nickname this bot sould use
            
            -r, --real-name REALNAME
                        Real name this bot sould use
            
            -t, --tail-file FILE
                        Tail FILE and output the conetent to the channel
            
            -d, --debug
                        Print debugging messages
            
            -h, --help
                        Print this message

Remove sleep as dependency

Use read -t instead

Remove tail as dependency

cat is used to print usage and we don't take kindly to external dependencies here

date is an external command. time is not.

Remove basename dependency

Remove tput dependency from string module

It should able to be replaced by appending '\e[0m' after the string instead

New handleMode

This should be rewritten from scratch since it's old and badly made. The parsing isn't 100% accurate and it's missing descriptions.

Remove usage of subshells
