icees-ui's Issues

New Header

Please replace "ICEES+ KP" with:

ICEES
Integrated Clinical and Environmental Exposures Service [The caps are bolded]

Follow the style used for ROBOKOP.

React-Table crashes on production build

This sounds like a weird bug, and something is going on (see TanStack/table#1992) but our issue isn't quite the same. Instead of just a blank table, our app crashes because some Cell rendering doesn't return anything. I've tried changing react-table versions throughout available v7, but didn't find any that helped. Currently using 7.0.4, though react-table owner said he fixed the previously mentioned bug.

ICEES+ UI

This issue is to update the ICEES+ UI such that it includes additional operators (<, >) and returns counts, percentages, chi square statistics, and p values, as well as bin values.

Replacement Filler Text for Main Page

Please replace the filler text on the main page with the following text and hyperlinks:

ICEES provides regulatory-compliant access to clinical data derived from electronic health records, survey data, and genomic data (SNPs) on patients within UNC Health and participants within the Environmental Polymorphisms Registry (EPR) at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences. ICEES is currently restricted to UNC Health patients and EPR participants with asthma-like conditions. However, the service was developed as a disease-agnostic framework and approach to overcome the regulatory, cultural, and technical challenges that hinder efforts to openly share clinical data, and new use cases are in development, including those focused on COVID-19, drug-induced liver injury, and primary ciliary dyskinesia.

Additional information on ICEES can be found here.

The ICEES API can be accessed here.

We welcome new user engagement! Please post issues, comments, and suggestions on the UI here and the API here.

Funding Information

Please add the following statement to the main page of the UI: "ICEES+ is a joint creation of RENCI and CoVar with support provided by the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences, National Institutes of Health [OT3TR002020, OT2TR003430, UL1TR002489] and the Intramural Research Program of the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, National Institutes of Health. See Terms and Conditions of Service."

Terms and Conditions of Service

Please add to the main page or in another prominent site the following information (ignore the syntax):

"Terms and Conditions of Service": "The Translator Integrated Clinical and Environmental Exposures Service (ICEES+) is providing you with Data that have been de-identified in accordance with 45 C.F.R. §§ 164.514(a) and (b) of HIPAA and that UNC Health is permitted to provide under 45 C.F.R. § 164.502(d)(2). Recipient agrees to notify UNC Health via RENCI in the event that Recipient receives any identifiable data in error and to take such measures to return the identifiable data and/or destroy it at the direction of UNC Healthn\nRestrictions on Recipient’s Use of Data. Recipient further agrees to use the Data exclusively for the purposes and functionalities provided by the ICEES+ service: cohort discovery; feature-rich cohort discovery; hypothesis-driven queries; and exploratory queries. Recipient agrees to use appropriate safeguards to protect the Data from misuse and unauthorized access or disclosure. Recipient will report to UNC Health any unauthorized access, use, or disclosure of the Data not provided for by the Service of which Recipient becomes aware. Recipient will not attempt to identify the individuals whose information is contained in any Data transferred pursuant to this Service Agreement or attempt to contact those individuals. Recipient agrees not to sell the Data to any third party for any purpose. Finally, Recipient agrees to reasonably limit the number of queries to the Service per IP address within a given time interval, in order to prevent rapid ‘attacks’ on the Service.\n\nWe kindly request that users of this service provide proper attribution for any secondary products (e.g., manuscripts, podium presentations, software) derived from the use of ICEES+. Attribution should include acknowledgement of support from the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences, National Institutes of Health [OT3TR002020, OT2TR003430, UL1TR002489] and the Intramural Research Program of the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, National Institutes of Health. Finally, please acknowledge or, if appropriate, include as co-author(s) any individual person(s) who contributed significantly to secondary products resulting from use of ICEES+.\n\nFor additional information or to report issues, please contact Karamarie Fecho ([email protected]).\n"

'Data Source' Options

Options for 'Data Source' should be changed to UNC Health [UNC Health Care System or UNCHCS was recently rebranded as UNC Health], NIEHS EPR, or Joint UNC Health - NIEHS EPR. The relevant variables are: IN_ICEES = 0 (no) or 1 (yes) [this variable rally should be renamed IN_UNCHEALTH as it refers to UNC Health patients]; IN_EPR = 0 (not) or 1 (yes) [this variable refers to NIEHS EPR participants; and IN_ICEES=1 + IN_EPR=1 [this is the Joint UNC Health - NIEHS EPR population].

@xu-hao : Let's rename IN_ICEES as IN_UNCHEALTH. This will avoid user confusion. (Nevermind, I posted ICEES API issue 30.
