tdiff's Issues

Fails to compile on fedora 35

gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I.     -g -O2 -MT utils.o -MD -MP -MF .deps/utils.Tpo -c -o utils.o utils.c
utils.c: In function ‘pmem’:
utils.c:89:3: warning: ‘mallinfo’ is deprecated [-Wdeprecated-declarations]
   89 |   minfo = mallinfo();
      |   ^~~~~
In file included from utils.c:28:
/usr/include/malloc.h:113:24: note: declared here
  113 | extern struct mallinfo mallinfo (void) __THROW __MALLOC_DEPRECATED;
      |                        ^~~~~~~~

so a quick fix for me

tdiff fails tests on 1-core VMs

While working on reproducible builds for openSUSE, I found that
our tdiff package randomly fails some tests when building in a 1-core VM

on openSUSE, or Debian, one can do this to reproduce:

osc checkout openSUSE:Factory/tdiff && cd $_
osc build --vm-type=kvm --noservice --clean -j1 standard

This produces random failures

 FAIL: tests/preset-alltimes.test
 FAIL: tests/preset-acl-alltimes.test
 FAIL: tests/toggle-mtime.test
 # XFAIL: 0
 # FAIL:  3

Enhancement Request : tdiff with saved trees

Hello. Thank you for tdiff.

One enhancement immediately came to mind: the ability to diff with a file that contains the output of the tree command.

I have such files for all offline disks. Being able use tdiff on them would be very useful.

Best wishes
