Website Counter using Express and MongoDB

This project implements a simple website counter using Express.js for the backend and MongoDB for data storage. It allows you to track the number of visitors to your website and store this information in a MongoDB database.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have the following installed:

  • Node.js and npm (Node Package Manager)
  • MongoDB

Installation

  1. Clone this repository to your local machine:
git clone https://github.com/Faizanusmani06/Counter.git
  1. Navigate to the project directory:
cd Website-Counter
  1. Install dependencies:
npm install

Configuration

  1. Ensure MongoDB is running on your local machine or update the MongoDB connection string in .env to connect to your MongoDB database instance.

Usage

  1. Start the server:
npm start
  1. Access the website counter through your browser at http://localhost:3000. Each visit to this URL will increment the counter.
