system requirements?

Why don't you write system requirements anywhere? Even the .zip distro comes with no documentation at all.

Proper uninstall

Hey! :)

I've wanted to use this app for showing tray icons, but it doesn't work unfortunately, so I tried to uninstall it.

Please make a proper uninstall method, because just deleting the program files leaves in place start menu shortcuts and, the most inconvinient, the context menu shortcut, for which I've needed to use ECMenu for deleting it.

Volume control doesn't work.

Describe the bug:
As title says. I use a Logitech mouse, with the [Button 5] being the one which opens app [Tabame]. Holding it down, and sliding up/down changes volume previously. Not anymore.

Typo in First Run Settings

There is a typo at the bottom of the First Run Settings Page, it says "... features then one listed above!", I think it should say "features than the ones listed above!"

Tabame hotkeys don't do anything - It's either too complicated for me to understand or faulty

I'm super confused about the hotkeys.

It looks like you assign a hotkey for a set of actions which you can then specify the action with another hotkey.

The original hotkey I set up does nothing and the other hotkeys do nothing.

I would like to be able to trigger the "Quick Menu"?
image

But no idea how, I know I could create a batch file to trigger it with a hotkey for the batch file, and I would do that except that the menu times out in about 5 seconds and so that's another issue I'm having.

Where do I start to figure this out?

Program does not launch/start/work

Describe the bug:
Downloaded ZIP, extracted and ran. I came to learn that the master hotkey needs to be set before anything else occurs. Set the hotkey to various choices e.g. Ctrl+B, Ctrl+B, Ctrl+1, and clicked "Save & Restart". Afterward, the program did not seem to be running, neither did it seem to remain launched if done so manually. Deleted %LocalAppData%\Tabame folder to reset settings and tried another config after each test. I feel like I've misunderstood something obvious.

When closing settings window main panel resizes

Describe the bug:
After closing the settings window, main tabame's panel is called, and it's being resized. All the entries then start to flicker when hovered because of wrong width.

bottom taskbar. toggle taskbar. "explorer.exe" alternative. task window position. ...

  1. When I click the shortcut key, I see a taskbar (window with current tasks), so I assume this is "the taskbar". is it
  2. Is there a way to put the taskbar on the bottom / top of the screen (same as Windows' default)
  3. Is it possible to pin the taskbar permanently to certain position?
reason: When I press shortcut-key, the taskbar/menu is pop up next to the mouse cursor. Since my screen is small, this window goes beyond the screen edges (i.e. it's partly hidden).
  4. can it work without "explorer.exe" ?
when I killed "explorer.exe" task, the shortcut key was able to work only when the mouse cursor is above /some/ windows. It didn't start when the mouse icon was straight above the desktop, or above certain other apps.

(I was looking for a replacement for Window's taskbar.)

Thank you.

24-hour time setting for the QuickMenu

The quick menu always shows the time in 12 hour time, but my system is set to display 24 hour time. Adding a toggle to the settings for 24 hour clock, or reading and following the system setting would be nice.

also showing AM/PM in 12 hour time would be handy. it should be obvious but it still messes with my head for half a second every time :p

Fadeout on window list shows even when at the bottom of the list

This gradient fade should probably disappear when the user scrolls to the bottom so that the last item is more visible and to provide visual feedback that the user has reached the bottom. alternatively, adding a bit of blank space to the scrollable area like in the top bar and pinned items bar would do the trick.

Changing to a window using Tabame brings it out of Aero Snap

Describe the bug:
When a window is snapped to a side or quarter of the screen, using the QuickMenu list to switch to it causes it to unsnap and move to wherever it was before it was snapped rather than leaving it snapped as the Windows taskbar does.

System tray missing all but two applications, and icons missing

Describe the bug:
The system tray area in Tabame is missing most of my applications, so I have to reshow the taskbar to access them. The couple that show are missing their icons.

Logitech MX Master

Hi,

Does your application work together with Logitech MX Master mouse?

I cannot assign any button on my mouse. It does not work. Whatever I use MOUSEBUTTON4 or MOUSEBUTTON5 - no effect.
It also doesn't react on clicks under 'Press HotKey' mode.

It would be great to use mode shift button for Tabame:

Grid doesn't have to be all the same size

I have a monitor with the resolution 3440 x 1440
That would be (1920 + 1520) x (1080 + 360)
Which means if I want a window to be 1920 x 1080, the width needs to be set to the GCD of 1920 and 3440, which is 80 as of now.
I think it would be nice to have at least one selection area that has different size.
Or any other solution that would solve my problem (Except using other apps).
This could also enable doubles instead of just ints in my opinion
