Github Teamwork Guideline

First of all, always keep "master", the trunk of the project, deployable

When you would like to make changes, please follow the scenarios below.

  1. Clone master branch in eclipse
  2. Fetch from the upstream to make sure the code are updated
  3. Add features or revise codes
  4. Choose "Push branch", NOT "Push to Upstream"
  5. Name the branch after the new feature, or objectives
  6. Compare the new branch with master branch
  7. Create pull request to master branch
  8. Make sure the master branch is deployable, then merge the two branches (invite a teammate to review the code if possible)
  9. Delete your branch, if no further revision is needed
