Using with non-qwerty English system layout

The addon handles key input based on its string value, not keycode, so pressing t in Colemak is interpreted as ㅅ rather than ㄹ for Dubeolsik. To fix this, set Default (qwerty) layout for Hangul.

Via fcitx5-configtool: in Input Method tab, select Hangul, then press Select Layout and choose Layout: English (US), Variant: Default. Or edit profile config file:

# group and item numbers may be different
[Groups/1/Items/0]
Name=hangul
Layout=us

fcitx5-hangul's Issues

'자동 재배열' does not work.

I'm on Archlinux, with X using KDE Plasma.
fcitx-hangul : 5.1.2

Fcitx/Hangul works fine, but '자동 재배열' is not.

What I mean is..
ㄱ + ㅏ -> '가' (works fine)
ㅏ + ㄱ should be '가' as well, if I turned on '자동 재배열' in fcitx-hangul's setting, but it does not work at all.

Typing in YouTube and pressing Enter key causes the entire text box to clear in Firefox

Every time when I type any Korean word, such as "리눅스" in some websites such as YouTube, when the last letter "" is being selected and if I press the Enter/Return key, the entire text box causes to disappear.

The only way to remediate this is to press the Right arrow key or click on the text box to 'unselect' the last letter, then I am able to press Enter without any issues.

Currently running Arch Linux under KDE Plasma X11, Firefox installed from Arch extra repository. Same thing happens even if I use Firefox from Flatpak.

Install failed

I created and entered build directory inside "fcitx5-hangul-master" directory as said in INSTALL file, than executed

cmake ..
but than I got:

CMake Error at CMakeLists.txt:5 (find_package):
By not providing "FindECM.cmake" in CMAKE_MODULE_PATH this project has
asked CMake to find a package configuration file provided by "ECM", but
CMake did not find one.

Could not find a package configuration file provided by "ECM" with any of
the following names:

ECMConfig.cmake
ecm-config.cmake

Add the installation prefix of "ECM" to CMAKE_PREFIX_PATH or set "ECM_DIR"
to a directory containing one of the above files. If "ECM" provides a
separate development package or SDK, be sure it has been installed.

I'm never used Cmake before, So I'm very confused. Any solutions? Thanks.
(currently my fcitx-hangul installed has some weird bug that eats all my RAM, making it unusable, So I had to type this in English.)

Issue with Flatpak Installation of fcitx5-hangul on Linux Mint 21

Description:

Expected Result:
I expected to be able to install fcitx5-hangul via Flatpak on Linux Mint 21.

Actual Result:
I encountered difficulties while trying to install fcitx5-hangul through Flatpak on my Linux Mint 21 system. I followed the typical Flatpak installation process, but the installation failed, and I couldn't use fcitx5-hangul for Hangul input.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Open a terminal on a Linux Mint 21 system.
  2. Ensure Flatpak is installed (sudo apt install flatpak).
  3. Add the Flathub repository (flatpak remote-add --if-not-exists flathub https://flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo).
  4. Attempt to install fcitx5-hangul via Flatpak

Additional Information:

  • The issue occurs while upgrading from fcitx 4 to 5.
  • I successfully installed fcitx5-hangul using sudo apt fcitx5-hangul, indicating that the package is available and functional via APT.
  • Other input methods such as Mozc and Pinyin are working normally.

Is there a way to add hanja(漢字) words?

Hello.
I'd like to adds some 漢字 words to fcitx-hangul.
For example, input '범용' and press F9, and it shows some candidates for '범용', but 汎用 is not in it.

Is it possible?
