I'll find some time in the coming weeks to work on Mammoth to finalise version 2.

The next stable version will be 2.0 because of some breaking changes already in master. To avoid another breaking change soon, I wanted to get 1 or 2 more changes in which may potentially be breaking (but definitely breaking in a semantic versioning context).
In the meantime you could use the beta tag though, see https://www.npmjs.com/package/@ff00ff/mammoth/v/2.0.0-beta.9
