Broken after upgrade to Ubuntu 21.10

I've been using this awesome tool daily for a few years now but after I upgraded to Ubuntu 21.10 (from 21.04) it just stopped working with this message:

$ sudo modprobe i2c-dev
$ sudo blstrobe -g
blstrobe: No displays detected. Make sure that you have run "sudo modprobe i2c-dev" and are calling this as root.

Any help is appreciated!

Support all monitors from the Blur Busters Strobe Utility configuration file

(For anybody forking this software in the future)

Windows version of the BenQ/ZOWIE version of Strobe Utility has a BlurBustersStrobeUtility.ini configuration file that lists the DDC/CI commands (VCP) for each model.

Also, ViewSonic XG2431 is Blur Busters Approved with a ViewSonic-specific Strobe Utility that has a ViewSonicStrobeUtility.ini file as well, which you can use to add the appropriate commands.
