firetray's Issues

Custom Icons

Hello,

I notice that setting custom icons does not appear to work when using this plugin with appindicator. Is this just me?

If it is not possible to set custom icons through the GUI, what line of code could I change to set a custom SVG to be the default icon for thunderbird? I'd like to set the icon to a grey scale version of the thunderbird logo to match the rest of my tray icons.

I copied a grey scale SVG to /usr/share/icons/Papirus/32x32/apps/thunderbird-nomessages.svg, and have replaced every instance of "firetray.StatusIcon.defaultAppIconName" I can find in the code with "thunderbird-nomessages", but unfortunately this hasn't worked.

Thanks,

Icon not shown in KDE's tray

The icon itself is not display if there is "no new/unread mail". However, Thunderbird is in the tray and I can interact with the missing icon. Also, if there is new mail, the new mail icon is shown without any problems.

Can you give me some hints how to debug this problem?

Any plans for further development?

Hi,
I just built and installed your FireTray fork on Linux in Thunderbird 60.2.
It has some issues, but first of all:

Are there any plans for further development or maintenance, or is this fork just meant to be a quick solution for yourself until someone else comes up with a new extension?

As far as I can see, there's no usable alternative for Linux regarding a tray icon showing the number of unread mails, which is compatible with Thunderbird 60+.
And it doesn't look like there will be one in near future.
So your work is highly appreciated.

Does not work on Windows 10 64-bit

It does not work on Windows 10 64-bit. I've tried it on two different computers and it does not work on any of them. In Kubuntu 32-bit works perfectly.

In Windows 10 64-bit the only thing it does is to minimize the tray, but once minimized, nothing can be done, such as closing it, lifting it, etc. Neither shows contextual menu with the right button.
Regards...
