Demo Bank

is a MERN stack application demonstrating basic consumer banking functionality. A user will be able to login, deposit, withdraw funds from their starting balance (100).

Installation Guidelines:

This application will be deployable in Google Cloud using Cloud Run and Firebase.

• To run locally:
  • pull the repo down
  • docker build -t demobank .
  • docker run -p 8080:8080 demobank

Will be configured to run against a cloud MongoDB Atlas instance, update config.js to run against a local Mongo container

• Node/Express

• Cloud Run for frontend and APIs

Features:

Currently, only basic functionality is displayed for a standing bank account user.

Future features could include an analytics dashboard for each user to see how they are tracking on their monthly spending vs funds. It is also only a single bank account type so far. A future feature could be a savings account accruing interest paid monthly and added to a user's balance.
