io.dbeaver.DBeaverCommunity.Client.pgsql

Extension to provide extended support (e.g. backup/restore) for PostgreSQL to the flatpaked version of DBeaver. You can install DBeaver from Flathub https://flathub.org/apps/details/io.dbeaver.DBeaverCommunity.

This extension only contains stripped client binaries.

Build

flatpak-builder --repo repo build-dir io.dbeaver.DBeaverCommunity.Client.pgsql.json --force-clean

Add --default-branch=stable to build against the Flathub version of DBeaver.

How to use with DBeaver

Hello,
are there any instructions on how to use this with DBeaver? When I try and add a new client home, I don't know where to search for the client. Looking at the manifest I would expect it at /app/clients/pgsql/ but DBeaver only shows a file picker without the possibility of manually specifying a path. But since it just uses the file picker from the xdg-desktop-portal, I can't browse the files of the flatpak sandbox.

Upgrade to 14.5

Hi there,

Is there any chance to get this upgraded to the most recent version of pgsql (14.5 currently) instead of the 12.2 that this is on.

As far as I know this is still the only work around for DBeaver with Flatpak dbeaver/dbeaver#5008 - but this won't work with more recent versions of pgsql
