The flathub build is still 2.3.16, released over 10 months ago, while the current version is 2.5.1 (released August 2022).

The newer version brings a bunch of awesome features, including a brand new writing GUI.

I am not familiar with flatpak internals, but I noticed that I cannot import new formats from a remote destination in the flatpak version of Twine; it fails with the following error:

The URL is taken from https://github.com/lazerwalker/twison, and I can curl it from my host machine successfully:

https://lazerwalker.com/twison/format.js

So I wondered whether this could be a permission error due to flatpaks running in containers (IIUC). I checked the app permissions:

According to https://docs.flatpak.org/en/latest/sandbox-permissions-reference.html, this is missing the network permission:

--share=network | Access the network [2]

I tried to experiment with this by doing

[9:57:02] ~ sudo flatpak override com.twinery.Twine --share=network

but this seems to have no effect.

Any ideas what's going on here?

mostly wondering if and/or when the flatpak app will be updated to the latest version of Twine?

When I run Play or Test From Here Firefox opens but the html file is not loaded and just returns the following error:

Access to the file was denied

The file at /run/user/1000/app/org.twinery.Twine/b4208ee9-2758-4f97-b365-a509256e2ce4.html is not readable.

	It may have been removed, moved, or file permissions may be preventing access.

I checked in /home/$USER/.var/app/org.twinery.Twine and there doesn't appear to be any html files.
