Could you help to understant how to measure soil sensor value?
Seems my sensor is good by all required attributes, but i have issue with value interpretation.
I have created simple application to read sensor value and tested it real plant - unfortunatelly my value is different to xiaomi flora sensor.

Could you help to solve issue with it?
Have you compared you values with another devices?

My steps:

I have measured sensor's dry and wet values

1. AIR_VALUE: ~2560
2. WATER_VALUE: ~1000

i use simple formula to calc moisture percentage

map(soilMoistureValue, AIR_VALUE, WATER_VALUE, 0, 100);

it works with glass of water but seems does not work with real soil.

i have reviewed your code and have found you use pretty complex formula.
do you have any tutorial with formula explanation?
Should i "calibrate" my sensor with water or soil?

Is it possible to add MQTT support that the ESP32 device acts as MQTT client?

Then you have many opportunities to externally control your devices with devices (e.g. Raspberry PI) running a smart home server, such as Home Assistant.

This project is awesome. But it seems to be not continued anymore, right? There are no activities for months now. I just want to now before ordering all the stuff.
Using mqtt would be a great option in my opinion to integrate in smart home installations.

Perhaps this is an alternative: https://remotexy.com, or one could setup a local blynk server and use the legacy app perhaps?
