There are a group of terms that end with the words "up" and "down", such as 'pseudostem up', 'leaf lamina up'', 'pinnate leaf up' and 'whole plant up'. It is not clear what these actually mean and how they could be used. I suspect there will be synonyms for any mean they might have.

The OBO Foundry page doesn't list the license. However, the homepage links to an about page for CC0 rather than the actual license overview.

And what is the relationship with PO and TO?

There are a group of terms related to "phenotypic sex" such as 'leaf sheath phenotypic sex' and
'stalk phenotypic sex'. As far as I can tell these are nonsense and should be removed.

The OBO Foundry has recently created a topics page at https://github.com/topics/obofoundry. It would be great if you could add the obofoundry topic to your repository, since it's currently listed as active in the OBO Foundry. If you're not sure how to do that, follow the instructions here. The main issue for this task is at OBOFoundry/OBOFoundry.github.io#1538 in case you want some more context or to join the larger discussion.

To make things easier for readers of the FLOPO manuscript it would be convenient if there were a tagged release that uses semantic versioning (e.g. v0.1.0). Barring that and/or for the time being, it is worth noting that the version in the manuscript corresponds with revision e0e1450

Why this is helpful

• the Ontology Lookup Service uses this to help better display ontologies
• if any of the terms mentioned above are ever aligned with an upper ontology like BFO, it still will be the thing shown on OLS as the "root"
• this will be generally useful for things like alignment with COB since it makes it easier to figure out what are the upper level terms in this ontology are

It would be very useful to add latin synonyms for FLOPO classes, even automatically using existing resources.
