IXXAT SocketCan driver fork

Based on the IXXAT Automation GmbH SocketCan driver version 1.1.148.0.

IXXAT hasn’t been updating the driver to a later Linux versions than 4.4.21.

This version has been patched to work with Linux 5.8. It might or might not work with newer versions.

This driver has just been successfully tested with the IXXAT USB-to-CAN FD adapter.

The PCI card driver is untested.

Installation

make
sudo make install

Manual interface setup

sudo ip link set can0 up type can bitrate 500000

Automatic interface setup

Add the following to your /etc/network/interfaces file:

auto can0
iface can0 can static
	bitrate 500000
