This is the development branch meaning things might not work as intended, please open a issue if you have any problems or open up a discussion if you have any idea's.

Installation

To get started just upload all the files from ForgeIgniter to your webserver and go to your [www.domain.net]
the installer will handle the rest for you.

Getting Started & Guides

We'd like to think FI is intuitive, but for the bits you can't work out on your own, we made friendly user guides , just for you.

v1.x

Older version, prefered by some as it uses the old lite theme and all moduels.

Anvil - Templates / Themes Module - ckeditor update

NOTES:

At the moment the settings for ckeditor are getting pulled from ckeditor config, making things easy to edit in one place, the final idea being in the back end one could easily change those settings via "My Site Preferences" page.
However, this could further be organised better by having a new system config page, allowing you to set what editor you'd like to use if any and then pull default settings allowing you to edit what you'd like.

For now, just pull the basics like in v1, ditch lib and helper.

Internal Server Error

Just install the ForgeIgniter-CI-3.x on Windows/Wamp.
After the config screen passed, the database is correctly create, but when i click on "Admin login", i have a 500 error (Internal Server error).

The only thing i have in logs is:

Admin does not exist

Hi there, The admin file does not get created in the file directory, other than that everything else works

Possibly related to change in routes.

Admin (Backend): Forms - Needs fixing and or updating

As it stands basic forms don't open, this obviously needs fixing.

After the basic layout for all pages, create simple dialog boxes for forms using jQuery UI.

Note: See about doing a similar thing for other simple actions.

Image Manager Popup Editor - no temp display

While editing an image on page view, image manager setting the wrong path for temp image display.

DIR - Routing Issues ?

Leaving this here as a reminder because it's rather odd.

On a local windows test server, FI installs and runs fine.
On a local Linux test server, FI installs and runs fine.

Just tested on two different shared hosting servers and FI installs but while trying a different module, it fails with page not found.
It screams .htaccess

However, while just blindly copying over an old version, everything works, if you then copy over the new files, it works.
Does this scream possible permissions?
From checks, the permissions are the same.

Pages - Custom Navigation creation

It's about time custom navigation is re added.

Custom Navigation allows you to override the default page navigation, it's tag is {navigation(custom)} tag.

Menu ordering works much like the pages order.

routes not working on some servers

An interesting issue on some server setups, routes just completely fails to work.

This has been a reported issue in the past but since I couldn't get access to diagnose or investigate, the guess was a miss configuration in config or .htaccess.

After some more tests on random servers, I've since confirmed the issue and investigating.

Anvil - Dashboard Update

Templates - Cannot read property 'match' of undefined

/js/templates.js

When trying to edit or add a new template to a module, the selectedModule no longer changes.

Since the update to jQuery 3 this no longer works, but was working previously.

This needs a rewrite anyway but just getting it to function like it did would be a start.
