About Us

The Fosstr.org website directly jumps to Objectives. There should be at least a para of "About Us". We used the following description in yesterdays Document Freedom Day event. Please add. Suggestions are welcome.

We are a group of Linux and FOSS enthusiasts and advocates from Belgaum (India). Our goal is to foster a Free and Open Source community of users, advocates and developers; and creating an environment where people can come and learn from experienced technologists. We openly welcome anyone who has a desire to learn about Linux and FOSS.

The RSVP link is not opening on the website

When i go to the wesite and click on the RSVP app i got a 404 error page.

Responsive website

The website is responsive and works well. But there is a horizontal scroll still present for all sizes of window.
Tested on OSX 10.10.2 on Chrome 41.0.2272.89 and Safari 8.0.3
and Windows 7 on Firefox 35.0.1

This is a minor issue, but easy to fix now.

Main Menu

The Main menu of the website has FOSS, Wiki, and IRC.
Foss and Wiki are external links. I don't this this should in the Main Menu. This must go under links.

Then the next logical question will be - what should be in the main menu?

Group objectives to be displayed

The following objectives need to be displayed on our website:

"FOSSTR : Fostering Free and Open Source Software.

The objectives of FOSSTR are:

1. Education (Learn and Share)
   1.1 to share the empowerment & freedoms that FOSS brings
   1.2 to organise study-programs and events on various types of FOSS solutions
2. Advocacy
   2.1 encourage use of FOSS in organizations
   2.2 encourage use of FOSS for personal use
   2.3 encourage use of open standards for document exchange
3. Contribution
   3.1 active: code, patch, assist with localisation and documentation
   3.2 passive: give feedback received from community to developers"

Remove content from the footer

IMHO, we don't need the following in the footer of the page : Speakers, todo, sponsors
