openscad_shelves's Issues

Use offset() and projection() to make back with proper clearances

We currently have zero clearance on the slots in the back (since they are made by doing a difference() between a solid back and the shelves/supports.

Ideally there would be a 'margin' clearance between these parts (just as there is a margin in the shelf/support slots). Using projection() to get the outline of the tabs, offset to grow them by 'margin' and taking the difference with a back square() we can get proper clearances.

Rough draft:

module back_slots() {
offset(delta=margin) projection(cut=true) translate([...]) rotate([...]) union() {sides(); supports();}
}

module back() {
translate(...) rotate(...) linear_extrued(depth) difference() {
square([h,w]);
back_slots();
}

Add test-fit card to one_of_each()

This card has slots cut +/- the configured board+margin value to determine optimum parameters based on differences in actual material thickness, kerf of cutting tool, etc.

Add slots/tabs for vertical supports

The vertical supports are not currently held in place by the back of the unit. Add slots/tabs to retain the shelves and prevent vertical movement.
