Thanks for providing an omniauth implementation for the Mendeley API. I'm not particularly familiar with Ruby but am trying to make a basic call to the private/authenticated API using omniauth-mendeley. It looks like your example is designed for a rails app, rather than basic usage, e.g. in IRB. Would you mind adding an example of how I can authenticate for a basic query to the Mendeley API in pure ruby? Or is omniauth geared towards Rails only?

I had an issue I couldn't solve:

(mendeley) Request phase initiated.
(mendeley) Authentication failure! service_unavailable: Net::HTTPFatalError, 503 "Service Unavailable"

Maybe the scope param is missing?

Anyways I ended up using the omniauth-mendeley_oauth2 gem, but I thought I would mention the issue here.
