What if a page/post has 50+ images and each image has 50+ regions?

It would be nice, as a user, to have in the media library details about image regions.

Either per image on the post, or as a general plugin option, it would be nice, as a user, to be able to help and restrict which image regions will be selected.

The plugin would make use of Frameright/image-display-control-web-component#2 to implement this feature.

In most cases, our plugin doesn't render the web component in post/page editors (e.g. Elementor or Gutenberg). So what you see while editing isn't what you will get as a visitor of the website.

So far we support only rectangle XMP image regions, which can only represent horizontal/vertical rectangles. In the future we also would like to supported rotated rectangles, expressed in the XMP metadata as polygons/vertices.

This plugin could share information with other plugins by implementing

1. one or several public functions returning e.g. image regions;
2. one or several new hooks, that other plugins could subscribe to.
