I guess Daumann came back to this system because Kruger was here.
After the Richtofen went up everybody left -- that was it, the war was
over. After a while Kruger came back, and that means Daumann had to
follow suit, didn't they?

My grandfather fought in the battle for Richtofen; he was one of the
few who survived. I used to watch him sitting in his chair, staring at
nothing when I was a little kid. Though people said he was a great
pilot, my father told me grandfather wished that he had died at
Richtofen.

A medium sized debris field exists at d-e/5-6 in sigma 13 on a line between Helgoland and the sigma 17 jumphole - I always thought this was the remains of Richtofen.
