I'm not sure if I understand it. I have problem with editing SVG in Inscape. Letters of the compas and text betwen this letters are anchored to some strange point far outside of the circle. If will be possible, it would be good anchoring it to the center of the circle.

It would be nice to automatically load names of big water areas like lakes and dams. Sometime there are visible for long distance.

Maybe could cover rivers as well.

I'm trying to create a toposcope on a global scale and the orientation seems to be way off. Eg Nauru is SE of "Birmingham" but the toposcope has it north. Unsure what's going on here but hope you can help sort it

Tested on Lysá Hora (Beskydy). Result shows a distance to Smrk 6 953,7 km, but correct is 6,9 km (or 6 953,7m)

The font in the preview is too big. At least on Firefox 45 (ESR) on Gentoo Linux. Generated SVG is correct.

One idea for feature. Make line length like text length:

When rendering the downloaded toposcope Google Chrome gives this error message:

Firefox mentions the same line but column 175 as position of the (same) error.
