binauralsound

Generate 360° binaural sounds from mono samples and head related transfer functions

But briefly:

  • build it (the Netbeans project files are included)
  • test your sound output by pressing 'Sound test'
  • download the HRTF of your choice from http://recherche.ircam.fr/equipes/salles/listen/download.html
  • load a WAV file (mono, or stereo left channel will be used)
  • generate processed stereo WAV files for each HRTF position (every 15°) by pressing 'Generate files...'
  • play them out in sequence by pressing 'Play'
