BBEdit 10 and ctags

Finding this just made my day.

I am seeing some inconsistency with ctags display using BBEdit 10.1.1.

I generated the ctags as instructed, and they seem to be formed correctly, but I'm seeing anomalous behavior:

  • There are lots of control words (and, for, while) in the output.
  • Autocomplete for CONSTANTS and ClassNames don't seem to function.
  • While many of the functions autocomplete correctly, some fail for no apparent reason. For instance, typing "menu_" only returns "menu_get_object". "node_ac" returns nothing; "overl" returns nothing; "user_" returns only "user_category_load".

Is this replicable behavior?
