greyscale-cmte's Issues

Hi, I'm trying to create a theme from scratch

I've been trying to get a theme to show up on my phone under Settings>Theme. I've tried the template provided by Cyanogenmod and I tried to create one from scratch and no luck. I found your Greyscale and it ran with no problems, so I'm interested how you did it and if you can tell me what I did wrong

Steps I took starting from scratch:

I opened android studio 2.1.1
Created a new project (named it, Phone and tablet minimum sdk 23, add no activity)
Added a new module called 'theme' and removed the 'app' module
Then I got my structure in folders and files as close to the one provided by https://github.com/gabrielelucci/greyscale-cmte
But theme still does not show up under Settings>Themes when I click 'Run' in Android Studio

I'm just to change the wallpaper and lockscreen for now. Is there a problem with the way I set things up my hub is here

I just want to be able to set the project up without having to use someone else's template. I've used Virtuous Ten Studio to modify themes and xml files but Android Studio seems to be more professional and that's the field I want to move towards

Theming Disa

Somewhat of a noob to themes, but eager to learn. I'm interested in adding support for Disa, the source of which is available on GitHub. Would be interested in seeing how you conclude what the item names for each element are, i.e. android:navigationBarColor in the calculator app when a quick scan through the source for Disa doesn't reveal much info on colors other than changing the RGB LED notification color or adding a specific color for different services.

Can't remove Lockscreen wallpaper

With only Greyscale and System themes, there is no way (or I can't find any) to remove the lockscreen wallpaper.

There should be a way to revert to the System lockscreen. But I'm not sure this can be fixed by you however...
(I've tried to switch to the live lockscreen, and back again to the normal. However, the default lockscreen wallpaper isn't restored, just the Greyscale one)

Publish on F-Droid

Hi there,

Firstly, thanks for the beautiful theme, and thanks for publishing the source code (aside: it's not "open source" yet technically, since you haven't added a LICENSE file).

Some people (myself included) have chosen not to install Google Play services on their devices. It'd be nice to have this app published on F-Droid to make it more accessible.

Settings>Accounts>Telegram crash

Tapping "Telegram" in account section of settings, throws the exception:

FATAL EXCEPTION: main Process: com.android.settings, PID: 17954 Theme: themes:{default=overlay:it.lucci.cm.greyscaletheme, iconPack:com.thearclabs.polycon, fontPkg:system, com.android.systemui=overlay:it.lucci.cm.greyscaletheme, com.android.systemui.navbar=overlay:it.lucci.cm.greyscaletheme} android.view.InflateException: Binary XML file line #18: Binary XML file line #18: Error inflating class <unknown>

Doesn't happen with "stock" theme, but happens with others themes such as MaterialOS. Others section (Google, Whatsapp) work just fine.

Probably a CyanogenMod issue.
