There seem to be a confusion about user accounts and what folder the system creates. I have three user accounts on my system and they are as follows
80000001, 80000002, 80000006
Like how'd it jump that far ahead for user three! And I met someone who just uses one user account and his was 80000008!
So I was helping him to restore a save he got somewhere. And I had him name it 80000001 because I assumed it would be that. But the save failed to restore. So we backed up his save just compare the files. Once we renamed the folder to 80000008, it restored successfully.
This kind've a problem, I wish there was a better way to know the user number. Maybe you can have savemii import the save regardless of the folder name.
When every I try to dump or restore a save for MARIO KART 8, It will copy only the first file and then freeze. Please help with this. By the way, awesome job at SaveMii. It works perfect for every other game!
I got a situation where I cant sync the gamepad but can sync a Wii remote.
By any chance, is there a way to add in controller support for this specific software? I don't want to lose my saved data from a broken wii u. D:"
I run regular Haxchi (non cold booted) through the DS app on the Wii U. I load SaveMii but nothing but a black screen appears. I waited for about five minutes to see if anything appears, but nothing does. I don't even get any warning or text. I've deleted and re-downloaded the files on my SD card, even made sure it was formatted correctly and still no dice.
System fw is 5.5.2. and no external harddrives are connected to the Wii U.
I have the legit title DKC: Tropical Freeze (USA) installed in USB HDD. I don't have any gamesave created for this game. Data Management of System Settings correctly displays GAME and UPDATE items and no SAVEDATA item for this title. But when I run Savemii 1.2.0.mod5 from Homebrew Launcher Channel (I use CBHC), it shows me this title incorrectly highlighted green in the title list. And, if I also choose to backup the supposed gamesave it generates an empty folder ..\backups\0005000010137f00\0 on the SD card.
When I run this via regular haxchi (not cbhc) without an HDD connected it runs fine. But when I run it via regular haxchi with an HDD connected I get a black screen after the initial splash screen that has the credits/brick warning. The Gamepad responds (at least the TV button) but nothing else does. I have to do a hard shutdown. If you could fix this I'd greatly appreciate it because I'm unable to move saves between NAND and USB without copying each game in its entirety.
Mario Kart Wii is not shown in my vWii title list.
By comparing the results with savegame-manager-gx, I also noticed that the Homebrew Channel is not shown either (not a problem by itself).
The issue is probably related to title IDs in some way:
All my other titles start by 00010000 and are correctly shown.
Looking at here and there, 00010004 appears to be relevant, although mainly used for Mario Kart Wii. Also, 00010001 might be interesting, but not sure.
Hi, I saw your TODO list in the last release. I am pretty familiar with the file system internals, so here is some information that may be useful. There is FSA_ChangeOwner command, but I see that no one ever documented it or mentioned it.
The issue is that it needs to be added to haxchi and mocha wupserver. I created a pull request for haxchi and libiosuhax: FIX94/haxchi#12
Also, about ctime/mtime, in the filesystem it is stored in epoch time, but than when it fills the FSStat it converts it to milliseconds since 1/1/1980.
If I delete SaveMii and reinstall it, it starts working again. Very odd.
What is the path for Loadiine save games format? I've been trying to use the import and export feature and i just dont know why is not finding the path, im using SD/wiiu/saves for loadiine saves and it doesnt find it.
hello, why don't u call the default folder "save_backups"?
i think it's more user friendly than "backups".
So when I try backing up my Vc majoras mask save on Savemii , one it shows up in the Wii U part not the vc , two it says backup failed do not restore file
