This is close to becoming the only system using our MySQL server.

I think it would be easy to migrate to PostgreSQL, it is just two tables. Should I do this — I'd probably just move the data — or would you prefer to? Maybe to also refresh the data.

It would be good to have an easy way to return to the landing page, which is lost when one starts to explore datasets. It’s useful background information.

@MortenHofft - could you please add that?

The frontend needs some refinements

1. Should have EU BON logo prominently displayed
2. Should take styling hints from http://test-eubon.ebd.csic.es/web/eu-bon-biodiversity-portal/tools
3. Header, and subheader should be more appealing like the wireframe
4. Datasets list could use some love (perhaps some expansion, and click through to the GBIF page?)
5. Map should be limited to zooming where the grid disappears
6. Map should have the zoom in / out buttons

CM from UNEP WCMC requests that this be included in the http://geobon.org/essential-biodiversity-variables/what-are-ebvs/ page.

Please can we create a second HTML with the same functionality, but with GEOBON logo and "styled" appropriately for inclusion on that site?
