indicator-systemtray-unity's Issues

Pantheon support?

Will it be difficult to port it to the elementary's Pantheon desktop? Like Unity, it use indicators too.

Static mode displays nothing

I've read the information from the following two links:

http://askubuntu.com/questions/612912/how-to-re-enable-the-systray-indicator-panel-after-latest-updates
http://www.webupd8.org/2015/05/on-demand-system-tray-for-ubuntu.html

First I installed using the ppa repository and then I installed from github with make and sudo make install. In both instances when I middle click and go into "static" mode, no systray icons are displayed anywhere. In floating mode, I can see the icons.

Is it possible to turn it into standalone systemtray dock?

Hi ,

I made my own desktop session without Unity. Unfortunately Linux desktop distributions lack standalone systray area. I only found Stalonetray but it's not as good as integrated notification area.
Is it possible to use your indicator-systemtray-unity widget for that purpose?
Regards.
Kenn.

No system tray on Uim.

Thank you for your great software.
I'm using Ubuntu 14.04(64bit), and Uim(https://code.google.com/p/uim/).

However, the system tray for Uim does not work. I'm also using other input method, Scim, and its tray works fine with indicator-systemtray-unity.

Is there a way to config the setting?
Or Uim is not supported? (yet?)

Hi

Hi GGleb,
Impossible to me to change background color.

Can you give me a link to download 0.2 version?
Thanx

Feature request: Measure x position from right side

I have a laptop and switch between a large monitor and my laptop monitor. To show the icons at the same postion you have to measure the position from the right side of the screen as the original concept of a systray is positioned at the right side. I tried to set a negative value for the x in dconf, but this made my icons disappear.

Icon size not respecting display scale factor

Hi GGleb,
Since I got a new 4K monitor, I had to enlarge my desktop elements to see them easily.
On Ubuntu 16.04 (which I must use) this works quite OK and one can drag a slider in the display configuration window to upscale the contents.
image
When I do it, the "systray" icons don't follow suit and remain at scale factor 1.0.

At this resolution using mouse scrolling to position the systray-ish style is also a killer. Takes a minute of frenetic scrolling to get the icons from one side to the other :D But it's still rather doable, so I won't bother you with opening another issue/enhancement request. It could be related to the scale factor, though, so I'll note it anyway.

Feature Request: Dual Monitor support

First: thanks for the plugin!

Feature Request:
If I have multiple monitors connected to my computer, the unity tray is shown on all of them.
That means, also the icon for indicator-systemtray-unity.
But if I enable static mode, the added systray icons do only appear on one monitor.
It would be great, if a second x and y position can be configured, on which the icons are also shown.

Best regards!

Blurry icons after a fullscreen.

Hi,
Good jobs, this indicator which was missing.

I have a little problem, i don't know if it a unity bug or an indicator-systemtray-unity bug.
Sometime, not systematically, after a fullscreen (ie: youtube video from browser...), the icons in the tray become blurry and i must restart unity to handle them.
I use proprietary nvidia driver and ubuntu 14.04.

Feature Request: Background for icons

Hello.

Thank you for indicator. But have one wish :)
Is it hard to implement optional background for tray icons? If not, can you do it please? In my opinion that is not comfortable when icons just stay overlayed on top of other applications like something foreign in the system)
