Can't get pycard to run

When trying to test my pycard installation I get.

rich@richdesktop01:~/Desktop/pycard$ ~/vpython/bin/python pycard.py -p ./examples -d "|"
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "pycard.py", line 10, in <module>
    from itertools import zip_longest
ImportError: cannot import name zip_longest

I believe that I installed itertools:
