FF which stands for File Finder is a bash script that makes file searching directly from bash easy and fast
- Download the zip and extract the
ff
file - Grant the execution permission to the script (
chmod +x ff
) - Move the script to
/usr/local/bin/
(sudo mv ff /usr/local/bin/
) - Now just type
ff
on shell and start searching files!
ff [filename]
ff
( the script will prompt you to insert the filename )
