CTA may have taken a page from ITU with the new $0 standard offers, with the same one-time download link system. Might be useful to update the site.

HDMI cables do not have versions. There is no such thing as an "HDMI 1.4 cable" or an "HDMI 2.0 cable".

This is flat out incorrect and it's not clear why you believe this.

The HDMI cable version governs four things:

1. Bandwidth cap, which is what sets all the tables you're trying to publish;
2. Color mode
3. Sync clock
4. Audio mode

So by example, if you want to see this in practice, get a Logitech Brio 4k Pro. That thing sends 4k DCI if you ask it to.

Now get an HDMI 1.0, cable, an 1.2 cable, a 1.4 cable, a 2.0 cable, and a 2.1 cable. Do not get low-spec cables from Anker. All their HDMI cables are HDMI 2.1b and they just put old specs on cheaper SKUs to do pricing.

You will notice that with the 1.4 cable in, the camera is able to do 4096x2160 60fps DCI 4k.

With the 1.2 cable in, it will max out at 3840x2160 60fps UHD, instead.

With the 1.0 cable in, you will drop to 3840x2160 30fps (or if you're using OBS studio, you can force it into 4kUHD 4:0:0 48fps.)
