You are showing something in the video and the code works something else. This is not a good practice.

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined.

Hello, I've noticed there was an error while following along. This was found at 57:46 of the video. Not sure what to do to fix this. Maybe it's my browser?

Lesson 1: Adding touch to the Controls class?

I want to add mobile controls by touch and I tried to add document.ontouchstart = (event) => {} and also this.canvas. ontouchstart = (event) => {} (by adding the canvas object to Car and then to Controls). But both didn’t work. Checked that by putting console.log(event); and/or this.forward = true; inside the above functions.

Could anyone help me to get that work and especially learn what I did wrong?

Genetic Evolution library

I have created a Genetic Evolution library inspired by this project. Check it out

Set character encoding to ensure correct symbols will appear on the canvas

For some browser/computer combos the char encoding will fail when trying to draw the arrow symbols on the network canvas.
If I am explicit about setting the character encoding in the html header then it works everywhere.

Example:
In index.html, add a charset meta tag
