Thoughts on making this more general to potentially include other CTPP tables? I don't use them personally (just flows usually), but others might want to park them in the same place here. It's up for discussion but I thought I'd head off the discussion here.

To preserve my sanity, I concatenated the state, county, and tract codes into a single FIPS code like the GEOID field that comes with census products.

It might be good to have a set of helper functions that will easily recover the original codes. We could even tag the state helper with an option to replace the inscrutable two-digit code (13) with the two-character postal code (GA).

I requested flows by income at the tract level nationally from CTPP. It was delivered to me a few weeks later. I feel like it'd be helpful to make it available to other folks more quickly. Does it have a home here or should it be elsewhere?

Just show people what is possible with some simple dplyring on the data. Like extract Atlanta and do some basic tables and plots.
