Address pylint warnings

Logged messages do not always appear in the order sent

In the event of code that looks like, say,

my_logger.info('Something')
my_logger.info('Something2')
# ... do some things
my_logger.info('lol')
my_logger.error('another thing')

I'll very often get messages out of order in my Slack channel. This is, I assume, because of worker threads being dispatched without regard to the state of prior entries in the queue (if there even is one? I haven't had a chance to read through the code)?
