An output stream should support the operations create (create a new
stream), write (write an element to an existing stream), and close
(close the existing stream).

An input stream should at least support the operations open (open an existing stream for reading), read next (read the next element from the stream), and end of stream (return true if the end of the stream has been reached)

At the moment we have inputstream.h and outputstream.h. The type stream is in inputstream, but bot header files should reference a common stream type. The solution is add a common stream header file or just merge the two header files into one.
