Failed to load loading screen background

ALT-TAB

When using Alt-Tab, a black screen occures (freeze)

Crashes 4 secs after the menu pops up

When I start GTA-Network, by game crashes 4 secs after the menu pops up. If I try to click a button during theses 4 secs, game crashes.
Here's what I get in the logs:

Chat

  1. When sending messages via sendMessage, it automatically adds line breaks. That should be either disabled or the line-width should be much increased...
  2. When driving a vehicle and opening the chat, the car immediately stops (player freeze). Only the control state should be switched...

Can't get back from desktop

When you're InGame, then you go back to windows and you try to reopen GTA-Network, there will be a black screen and you'll need to restart it.

Vehice buffer too small.

If we load all vehicle whit episodemanager game will crash.

Player on minimap not shown

Other players are sometimes not shown on the minimap.

Player A connected to server.
Player B connected to server and see Player A on minimap.
Player A can not see Player B on minimap.

Don't see each other

So. When i joined Sharifs server all was good, and i saw his messages, but i couldn't saw him.
Also i saw red map icon and his label.
He also saw the same.

Wazzup?

White radio icons

There seems to be 3 radio icons with a white box (texture missing?) (Using EFLC icons on these 3 will work?)

bass.dll not found

I get a error upon starting IV:Network which says bass.dll was not found although it's there. After that EFLC gets started but directly returns error that I need to open it via EFLCLauncher.exe

Command & Crashing

Sending /ivhelp command in game crashs it.

My CEGUI.log spammed with that stuff:

Infinite Loading

Hi, i've a problem. The Loading is infinite
I leave loading 5 minutes, the hard drive is not in use and infinite loading

Crash on /cv and /setmodel, second ALTTAB and healthbars problem

{ /cv 1; Driving that airport shit; "F"} or {/setmodel 1; /setmodel 1; /setmodel 1; /setmodel 1; ...}
Crash.
No shit in logs.

If u do ALTTAB more than one time - you'll crash or get black window in windowed mode.
Filled healthbars at nametags even the player is dead.

EDIT: Crash on vehcile exit was fixed.

CPlayerEntity::sendMessage doesnt allow colors

The color parameter of the method doesnt work nor does the color formatting ( i.e. [FF0000] ).

Knight told me you already know about the issue, but I'm just adding it so you dont forget it, and to keep things clean :P

Crash when clicking on "settings"

Today I first changed my name in the settings, then I Alt-Tabbed and the Client froze.
After I reconnected and wrote something in the chat, no name was there:

As I now wanted to change back my name in the settings the client crashed.

and getting that shit:

I don't see any LaunchIVNetwork.exe file...

Vehicle color limitation

I can only create a vehicle with color 0xFF0000 / 0x00FF00 / 0x0000FF / 0x000000 ;
but not with 0x11AAEE / 0x424242 / ...

Only "FF" and "00" are working.

Add LocalPlayer sync package check

LocalPlayer should check the received sync package and if something is really wrong it will tell the server to hard set the sync values without interpolation etc.

Disable hotkeys in chat

Hotkeys like camera changes (key V or key C) should not be useable while typing in the chat.

[Sync] Lower the network/bandwidth usage

As soon as players join the server, the network usige is too high (sync).
Especially with my internet I get enormous problems.

BTW: You should add these RakNet statics again (it was hotkey F5 in the past I think)

Problem with setHeading

When using setHeading on a player Entity, the player has movement problems (on foot).

Example: You press W to move forward. If you now press D to go right, it doesnt work (you keep moving forward). You have to fully stop (release all keys for a second or something) until you can change movement direction.

After I changed setHeading to setRotation everything worked fine. Therfore I would recommend just to remove setHeading as it is actually just a duplicate of setRotation.

Ragdoll while in a vehicle

Player 1 is driving very fast in a vehicle, the vehicle will do a ragdoll (the vehicle "crashes")
Player 2 sees Player 1 doing a ragdoll out of the vehicle.

Reproducable on test server by driving to and from the jetty about the stairways with high speed.

Maybe just checking for "player is in a vehicle" before sync' the ragdoll packets?

Reconnect

Disconnect and Quick Connect to a server (same server or other server) is not working.
Only way is to restart the client.

Control State in Mainmenu

The control state should be toggled off when opening the main menu (ESC).

Also the nametags (or in general all GUI stuff) should be set invisible while the menu is opened.
