Due to professional reasons, I had to move to another city and I no longer have access to a flight simulator. This project is now closed, and if anyone wants to continue its development, just fork this repository and do so. Thanks for all the support so far!

Auto Fuel Selector fails

The auto fuel selector fails when fuel near 40 gallons. This happened to me 3 times. I started with full tanks and when the right tank approached 40 gallons remaining the auto fuel selection system stopped switching fuel tanks. The fuel switch from auto to manual fuel selection was locked. It would not switch to manual. I get a beep and nothing happens. infact all buttons on the dash are locked. i cant mouse press anything. Yoke still works. i run out of fuel i guess do fuel imbalance and crash or forced to land.

FLC - Oscillating Pitch

When FLC is selected the Pitch oscillates a LOT while maintaining a constant speed climb. Can this be fixed somehow?

ALT and VS knob rotating by themselves

With V5.5, setting up the ALT or the VS on the TBM930 AP, the knob randomly starts to rotate by themselves.
Clean of any addon except the navigraph data.

Real TBM930 access?

Does anyone have access to real TBM930? I need information about lighting

View zooms out when scrolling on the touch pad

As the title says. Touch pad for a lack of the correct term.. The pad where you enter FP, radio frequencies etc.

Scrolling down i.e the flightplan also makes the view zoom out. Kind of annoying,,

Lighting mod

My little lighting mod.
What i done.

  1. Panel light knob always on (for identity in darknes)
  2. Panel light knob day start at zero (old at 100%).
  3. Panel light knob 100% - max light (instead turn off) - need to understand how it work in real plane
  4. ELT button always on
  5. ELT text mapped to panel light
  6. Pedestal light map to access light button
  7. Reworked all ambient light. (only G3000 still in process)

Fuel selector is allways at auto when starting C&D

I don't know if this is something you can fix, but it would be nice if you could. The fuel selector switch is allways on auto when starting cold and dark. In the best of worlds it should be in the position it was last left in, but at the very least in manual

[Suggestion] Please add commit messages when making changes!

Hello!

I've been following this project since the start, and one thing I (as well as many active github users) would appreciate is
adding commit messages when you make a commit to the repository.
By doing so, it will make it a lot easier for people to see exactly what changes you have made (and for what purpose).
For example, this commit: 0.4.13b commit doesn't say why the changes in the files were made.

Adding commit messages will also help you a lot when you update the README to include recent changes/updates.

Once cabin lights are turned on they cannot be turned off.

Hey there, seems like the overhead switch to turn the cabin lights does not work after spawning in and turning the lights on. Dimming knobs work as expected for the panels and the Garmin, as do the rest of the light switches, but I cannot turn the cabin lights off once they have been activated.

The only mods I currently have installed are this, liveries megapack, and the Garmin restylized mod.

No CAS message for inertial separator

I'm not sure if this is caused by your mod or if they did something in the latest patch, but the CAS message for inertial separator has disappeared.

If you are able to get it back it would be great if you could add a 30s delay from switching it on to the CAS message showing up. This is from the POH of the TBM930:

CAS message lights on when vanes have reached their maximum deflection and remains visible asl ong as switch remains ON. Full deflection takes about 30 seconds.

ELT LIGHT?

When panel light's off, ELT lights still on.
If panel lights at max light - ELT light unchanged state.

Fuel consumption is perhaps a bit high

I'm by no means an expert on these things, but if I understand it correctly the picture below shows me flying at FL290, ISA+10 (approximately) and with 86% TRQ. According to the POH that would give me a fuel consumption at around 55.6 GPH but as you can see I'm getting a significantly higher value (69GPH). I know that the developers have been speaking about modeling the aircraft as one that has a few flight hours so perhaps that would give you a slightly higher fuel consumption, but not this much higher right?

ITT during take off

Hi,
I know there are known issues about ITT. But is it really normal that during take off roll after torque setting about 95%-100% the ITT is flashing red with master warning lights? (overheating) Or I am doing something wrong?

Working Title - Closer Collaboration?

Hi there! I saw some of your posts on some other github projects such as the issues you created for g3000-restylized and g3000 enhanced suggesting collaboration with the Working Title team so I hope you'll take this in the spirit it's intended, but I think it'd be great if you considered collaborating with those folks! As you know, G3000 enhanced is now part of Working Title, and the restyled touchscreens will be soon.

I'm pretty active on the discord and the team is very collaborative, talented, and communicative. They have worked fast today putting their heads together to get things out for the latest update. With all the work they've done making the CJ4 even better, I mentioned in passing how great it would be if the TBM improvement project were a part of the fold and "Rob (kaosfere)" stated that they'd definitely be interested!

Just an idea, and since I appreciated you speaking up on those other projects about merges I thought I'd do the same here. I don't mean to step on any toes! Keep up the great work, in any case!

New Recommended G3000 Mod

Just a heads-up that the new G3000 mod that you recommend is not compatible with kaosfere's dimmable G3000 mod.
In addition, the new G3000 mod is not currently compatible with the touchpad mod you also recommend

standby Displays brightness

could you modify these two standby displays for lower brightnesses? There is not possible to adjust it.

Vertical speed

I don't if it is known issue but two things are not working properly regarding vertical speed autopilot:

  1. FLC mode - verical profile oscilating up and down to keep selected speed
  2. VS mode - would be nice to have actual FPM value set after click on VS button. Otherwise there is 0ft/min and aicraft suddenly stop climb/descend until you select by nose up/down. It should keep and continue vertical speed when VS autopilot is activated.

during flight on cruise level MSFS just stopped working, after removing from comunity folder it didnt happen

Glideslope following issue?

Today in 2 flights during ILS, i noticed that the plane captured LOC and GS normally but as time passed by , the plane increased VS and after a while it was well below GS.

I tried to disengage and engage the AP with no luck.

Is this something known? Could it be coming from the Working title G3000 mod?

Barometer knob STD

Hi,
could you repair Barometer knob function? After click on it, it should be set to STD (1013HPA or 29.92 inHg). Not actual pressure like pressing B on keyboard.

Can't seem to make this work

If I understand correctly -

  1. Installation is to copy the unzipped dir into community
  2. The audible minimums are included
  3. This should work fine with any other mod (ie. liveries) which don't contain panel.xml for the TBM

Despite this - I set a minimum for (say) 100' and specify RA to avoid baro offsets but I never hear any audible altitude callouts when landing.

I am on a Steam install with a bespoke install dir (d:\msfs) instead of the default MS one. There is also a MS default hierarchy on C;\user\appdata.... but I put all my other (working) mods into the d:\msfs\community and it's fine. I did try this one in the c:\ folder but nada.

I'm pretty certain the mod is loaded because I don't think I get the SEP alert in CAS when switched on. All my volumes other than music are 100% and on some planes I get the 500' callout but never the TBM.

Any thoughts on what I can try?

Any way to put an "eyecatch" in the mod so that I can confirm at a glance that the mod itself is loaded? Like a piece of text on the panel?

Programming related issues

I was reading the forum and I noticed that you could use some programming help. I'm a software engineer but not a pilot (though I love sims and flying) and happy to help. I'm just wondering if you can create some issues or list out here what you need programming-wise and I'd love to help out. I usually fly the SF-50 Vision Jet in X-Plane, and I've now fallen in love with the TBM in FS2020

Presurization system at high altitude

Hi there,

Thanks for your great work, its the only aircraft that i fly on FS2020 and FSE.
I found an issue with the presurization fliying on high FLs (FL300 and FL310). It seems that the presurization controler cant keep the cabin altitude under 10k, and an alarm is triggered con the CAS. (see attached screenshoot)
Also I saw a max diff pressure alarm climbing with a very light aircraft passing FL260 towards higher levels. It seems that the controller has a harcoded limit of 500 fps.

I dont know if this issue can be corrected on the CFG files, but anyways, thanks a lot for your time.

Propeller doesn't unfeather on startup, stays in the yellow band

Issue Description
During the engine startup sequence, the propeller doesn't come out of the feathering range (yellow band) even after the NG > 52% and ITT is within the green limits.
Post startup, on flight idle, it stays at ~500 RPM in the yellow band which is unrealistic.

Expected Behaviour
Given normal operating parameters, second set of ignition should start at NG > 52%, starter EICAS message should disappear and the propeller should start unfeathering, its RPM should increase and stabilize above the yellow band.
