I found the reason why I could not spawn any xterm in Chromiarch: you need to add mount -t devpts devpts /tmp/ARCH/dev/pts to your list of mount commands :)

You say that you use chromiarch regularly, so I assume that it means that you don't have screen blanking issues right?
But for me the setterm command in the conf file does not work; the screen backlight is still turned off after a few minutes in the chroot, whether in the console or under X. Did you have this issue?

Is posible install Chromiarch in ACER Chomebook AC 700.

Hi Guillaume, do you use some special xorg.conf? I get a black screen and a dead frozen computer when I startx as my user from the chroot.

'mount -o loop /etc/resolv.conf /tmp/ARCH/etc/resolv.conf' doesn't work (should it? I thought we can only mount true filesystems like that) and can just be replaced by 'cp /etc/resolv.conf /tmp/ARCH/etc/resolv.conf'

Shouldn't you add them to your repo? I am having a look at your scripts and I see that these two files are used, but they're not on the repo. Or did I miss something?

• in chromiarchos-run L37 : you should mount /dev/sda13 if following your own instructions
• not much of a problem, but you might want users to create the /media/chromeos directory first
• the forever-looping "No protocol specified" X error is back for me, but only when starting X as my arch user; it works when starting X as root (it's very late here, so I'll see that tomorrow)
