This desaturated-blue-coloured icons theme Suru++ Telinkrin (former Telinkrin Icons Theme) was designed by Paulxfce and now redesigned and powered by Gustavo Costa and Andrea Bonnani's Suru++. It is designed for users who use Telekrin GTK as desktop theme.

Installation

The good news is that, you are no longer required to depend on Sam Hewitt's and other Suru++ packs.

AUR (Arch Linux-derived)

Installation without CLI

• For users of Ubuntu 16.04 and any old versions of any distributions

Known bugs

Some icons are not correctly applied in some apps

Some apps, as AppImage-buit, Flatpak-built, Snap-built and dpkg-installed apps do not use the relative path of an icon. They use the absolute path of an icon, preventing the icon of being correctly applied. Besides, some apps misuse the icon name, for example, GitHub Desktop uses the icon name called Icon=desktop.

We provide desktop files (AppImage, native Debian packages, snap app and source codes) for you for being able of applying correctly the icons. You can download them from the repository Suru++. Copy them to your_name/local/applications/, so they won't be reverted to original when you make next updates of Ubuntu and/or PPAs.

We recommend you to back your desktop configuration files up when you intend to make a clean install or reinstall your distribution.

Many icons are not loading without Suru++! It's necessary to add its as dependency before installation!

Remove full name

Firefox Developer Edition

Firstly, this icon theme is great.

I have a number of small changes I'd like to see but the biggest one is that I feel like the uniformity of this icon theme is broken by Firefox Developer Edition. Not only is the background different from the standard firefox.svg, the colour of the "fox" also clashes with its background.

So I'd appreciate the background being the same as for firefox.svg (which is more in line with the colours of this theme). But then I'd also like to see slightly different colours on the fox as well so that the blues don't look out of place in this theme.

This is just a quick modification I did using layer hues in inkscape (which I think is a bad idea for the actual theme but it's a suggested direction to move towards). I'm not quite sold on the colours in this fox either though.

Problem with two icons

I use Debian 9 stable (Stretch) with Gnome 3.22.3 (default Debian 9 installation with Gnome desktop).
Latest Telikrin GTK theme and latest SURU++ and SURU++ Telirkin icons.

Please take a look ar screenshot attached, I've underlined two problems:

1. Looks like icon from "disk drive" is used for a "Clock" applet
2. Wrong type of icon is used for gnome-control-center in dash-to-dock extension. The size of dash-to-dock icons is 32.

Stop this immediately! It breaks the gnome system

This is Paul Beyens,
I've tested the download-file you supply and put it in the '.icons'-folder. After selecting it in gnometweaks is immediately closes gnome-tweaks and nautilus does not fire up any more. Which leaves you with no means to remove the icon-theme. Had to fire up 'sudo-nautilus' for root-acces. This way I could remove the file from my '.icons' folder, log out and back in, and finally choose another icontheme.

So what happenend? There are to many files in the download-file that should not be there. After removing

• cursor.theme
• cursors
• icon-theme.cache
• .gitattributes
• .github
• .gitignore
  the theme worked.
  So start there.
  As I have mentioned before, gnome-users tend to drag and drop your download-file in their '.icons'-folder. If there are things in there that do not belong there, it could do harm, (as it does now!)
  So, make a special file (with only the necessary files) and upload that to Gnome-Look.org, and NOT the github-link.

Con tu plugin, he convertido 2235 colores originales para los de Telinkrin, entonces he construido el shell script, utilizando sed para substituir todas los colores originales por los de Telinkrin en todos 5205 íconos. Eso tomaba sólo 5 minutos.

Pero todavía tengo de mejorar algunos íconos, porque algunos tienen colores muy similares en todo.

Puedes ver los íconos en la carpeta /apps/64, comparando al 64-backup, en la branch beta.

Voy a acreditarte en este repositorio.

Lots of icons are missed when I run gnome-control-center on Debian stable

  Debian 9 + Gnome + all updates. I use the latest Telinkrin GTK3 theme with latest SURU++ and SURU++ Telikrin icons from master. On a screenshot you can see what I see when I run "Settings" application (gnome-control-center).

Nice to see the icontheme shaping up.

If you want, I remove my opendesktop-page, so you can create your own. This way, you will receive plings (if you configured it) on it. Or, I can do nothing and refer to your github-page, but then I would continue receiving plings, which would not be fair, because you are doing all the work. Anyway, let me know your intentions. As soon as you decide to start your own page at gnome-look, I will remove mine, so you get the plings.

If it is your intention to make it part of the general Suru++ page, then let me know, so I can remove my page.

Next, do you have the intention to make a version for Arrongin?

And finally: please correct my name on the opendesktop-page (it is spelled wrong). I would prefer though, that you use the name Paulxfce, instead of my real name.

Please open a repository for Fedora, the theme is really nice and very elegant even on "Gnome Shell", as should be the themes for gnome while instead are always incomplete or never updated!!!!

Zotero Icon

Hi,

Since I have made the colours more vivid for suru-plus, I just wanted to contribute the desaturated version here. I didn't feel like forking and creating a PR. The monochrome icons are the same so you can just pull those from suru-plus when you update telinkrin.

I have run svgo on this version of the Zotero icon though.

I can't attach a .svg so I've just renamed it to .txt.

Fixed and purged dead symlinks

Hello @btd1337 and @bzhmurov,

Sorry for my absence. I was busy with my college. My professors were too demanding and liked to test our patience and resistence. Now I am on holidays.

I have just released the new version, after having having purged all the dead symlinks. I redesigned and readjusted more than 1000 icons.

I will ask @Magog64 to avoid the symlinks.

Please, remove the old folder, if you downloaded via SVN. If you downloaded via PPA, please, remove the PPA and download the package from here without SVN. Please, tell me if they work.

If they work for both you, I will update the AUR and the PPA.
