When you add all minimal parameters needed to press the Start button and the pipeline starts running, all buttons in the interface remain interactive, which doesn't make it obvious there is something running in the background or when it's finished.

Proposed change:

• Disable all buttons and interfaces until start_press is done

There are several mutually exclusive radio buttons (two options only) in the GUI.

When one is pressed, the other is necessarily unpressed (this is implemented already).

But when the first one is unpressed, the other should become pressed automatically, after all the user can only choose among them both.

So we could implement defaults (the first option for all choices, imo) to implement the desired behavior.
