A screen sharing client (WPF and cross-platform) that runs on its accompanying ASP.NET server (see https://instatech.org for details).
Compatibility: Windows 8.1 and 10.
The WPF version is a small, portable EXE for Windows 8.1 and 10. It contains the Windows Service and can be used from the command line in the same way.
Switches
- -install = Installs the service and begins accepting connections.
- -uninstall = Uninstalls the service.
- -update = Updates the installed service to this version.
Compatibility: Windows 8.1 and 10.
A self-installing Windows service that will listen for connections and launch the client in the logged-on user's session. This is embedded in the WPF client.
Switches
- -install = Installs the service and begins accepting connections.
- -uninstall = Uninstalls the service.
- -update = Updates the installed service to this version.
Compatibility: Windows 7, Linux, and Mac.
The cross-platform version is larger than the WPF and uses an installer. However, it works on all versions of Windows, Linux, and Mac. It's built with Electron (http://electron.atom.io).
Compatibility: Windows 8/10 Pro or Enterprise, Windows Server 2012+.
The source code for the InstaTech Server is not made public. However, you can download a trial version at https://instatech.org/Downloads.
The WPF client and cross-platform client, when launched, will generate a random session code. Enter that code into the web-based remote control to view the remote computer and/or take control.
Computers that have the Windows service will show up in the Unattended mode and the Computer Hub of the InstaTech Server.
The remote control tool is currently located at https://demo.instatech.org/Remote_Control.
The InstaTech project uses the below 3rd-party libraries. A huge thank you to the creators for these! They are all awesome, and I highly encourage you to check them out.
