App does not give options for places with same name or postal code about weather

The placeholder specify that you must insert city, country... This is how the weather API works. You can always specify better your city

Be that as may, if the app accepts only one value, then from a UX the OS / API should be smart enough to provide options to the user. That's how typically weather APIs on other OS works. Secondly, let's say I am in a city with area code 431001 in India. I am giving my postal code, but the API chooses something in Netherlands. Or I could be in Singapore. Why only Netherlands. The API needs rethinking IMHO.

The API is the Yahoo API, I think (?). So we won't be able to change that...
I do agree that the app could be smarter in getting and presenting all locations fitting the entered string.

I have a Weather widget in my Mac from Yahoo and that widget provides options wherever there is ambiguous user entries. So Me thinks that this is an implementation issue.

So I tested with 2 french cities of same name
Bordeaux, France, Aquitaine (the well known city)
Bordeaux, France, Ile de France (another one I even didn't know of before going to Yahoo page)
Note that about two years ago french regions were rearranged, some were grouped & renamed; API seems to use old names for now.
If you put Bordeaux, France only, API picks weather for Bordeaux, France, Aquitaine probably because it is first in alphabetic order.
If you enter full infos, you obtain indeed different weathers but location is shown both times as
"Bordeaux, France" so it's difficult then to distinguish which one is where. Since there are also other cities named Bordeaux around the world, if possible, it would be nice to be able to chose to display: City, country or City, region.
