What is Selenium?

Selenium is a free (open-source) automated testing framework used to validate web applications across different browsers and platforms. You can use multiple programming languages like Java, C#, Python etc to create Selenium Test Scripts. Testing done using the Selenium testing tool is usually referred to as Selenium Testing.

Selenium WebDriver - Installation

  1. Download and Install Java 8 or higher version.
  2. Download MAVEN.
  3. Add Selenium 4.4.0 dependency in POM file.
  4. Add TestNG dependency in POM file.
  5. Download and configure Eclipse or any Java IDE of your choice.
  6. Clone the repo.
  7. Run the test scenario form testng.xml file.

What are the tested features of Selenium4?

  • Different options of taking screenshot of the displayed page.
  • Opening and handling new tabs and new windows of the browser.
  • Using the relative locators to access WebElements.
