Shop

Don says:

SHOP

  • What should we call it? Shop? Store? Books? Eventually, I would like to have other things listed here like posters or prints or something, but for now it is about the books, but the place to buy stuff.
  • PayPal or credit card - ideally take cards direct, but what does this entail? Is it complicated? Do I get shipping addresses, where does the money go, etc.
  • Here’s a shop that I would like to model it on:
    https://www.thesochiproject.org/shop/

PAGE ONE

Here you will see all the books available, like a storefront (Like Sochi Project)

  • Thumbnail of book
  • title of book
  • date
    -short description
  • price
  • buy or add cart or whatever

PAGE TWO

After clicking to see more info about the book:

  • more photos, bigger
  • longer description
  • info
  • price

Lose dark green background

I think I like the shade on just the navigation pages, everything else should be on white background I think (bio, press, etc)

Navigation Questions

Don says:

Once you get through text and photos, do you continue down and see the book photos and information? Or, do you end at the photos and click to another page for the book? I prefer seeing it all in one “strip” or column, what do you think? Right now ‘Book' is a separate section you need to click into. However, if you click ‘Book’ in the sub-heading of a main project, it will take you direct to the 'Book’ section, is this possible?

If you click on a main page header (example) when you click INFO, it brings you straight to the BIO - however, should it not unfurl and show the other categories?

If you click the main project (INTERROGATIONS) and there are sub-pages (BOOKS) can you make it so it goes straight to that section on the book? Should this be broken into two sections, or should it be all in one “column” or strip? Do you know what I mean?

Archive

Don says:

  • will just be a link to a Photoshelter website, so simple.

Workshops

Don says:

I want to keep this fairly straightforward. I want to show previous workshops, and upcoming. Perhaps it is two pages? Like this:

WORKSHOPS

  • Upcoming
  • Previous

Or just one page?

WORKSHOPS

To be included:

  • text about the workshop (not very long, say 150-200 words)
  • title of workshop
  • location
  • date
  • more info about workshop
  • sign-up (perhaps using the same technology as the shop?)
  • space for an image or photo
  • list of say the previous last few workshops (last 5?) and a list of upcoming.

This could have a similar layout to the shop?
