If Issue, Tell Us a Little More

Hi, this is not a feature request or a bug report, wanted to understand the what type of charts are used in harness.io and which libraries are used for harness charts visualisations. Few details on those lines and the licence details will be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Typo?

Typos are bound to happen. The quickest way to fix, submit a PR or let us know.

If Feature, What Would You Like to See

Please replace this line with a brief summary of your idea/feature request.

Type

  • Issue (such as typos, broken images/links, or missing/malformed documentation)
  • Enhancement (such as UX suggestions, new documentation requests, or suggestions for how content is organized/presented)

Description

From my perspective there is going to be confusion around https://developer.harness.io/docs/self-managed-enterprise-edition/user-profiles and https://developer.harness.io/docs/self-managed-enterprise-edition/advanced-configurations/reference-architecture. Can we select one page and consolidate?

If Issue, Tell Us a Little More

Currently, the troubleshooting guide shows KB coming soon. It is suggested to remove the page or make it inaccessible by hiding it from the sidebar.

Would be happy to fix this by raising a PR.

A service instance is not a count of instances

Something doesn't seem right in this sentence:

A Service Instance is the number of running Service instances at any given moment

The second part of the sentence appears closer to the truth:

(pods in case of Kubernetes, hosts in case of SSH-based deployments, etc).

Especially because this is how licenses are billed, this seems like a detail that should be re-defined to be very clear.

A **Service Instance** is the number of running Service instances at any given moment (pods in case of Kubernetes, hosts in case of SSH-based deployments, etc).

EKS SMP use gp3 storageClass

Thanks for contributing to the Harness Developer Hub! Please use GitHub Issues to report documentation issues or request documentation enhancements, and our code owners will review your issue.

Description

As we described internally, want to provide more context for our EKS SMP install to utilize gp3 storage class as the default to help users save money:

No, we have a placeholder for storageClassName, if it is unspecified it picks up the cluster’s default storageclass (which is usually gp2 in aws, standard in gcp, it differs if customer has explicitly set it different as well)
you can make the storageClass configurable by setting global.storageClassName and global.storageClass to both gp3 in your onverride files. If there is a storageclass with that name, it will assign it to that

@tuffacton will take it on, just wanted the ticket started
