Save Tabs As Session

STAS is a browser extension that saves user time to resume their browsing journey with ease. It stores the current tabs and a short note for context in local storage to continue browsing in the future. You can find its published version on Chrome Web Store

Testing

You can test the extension without publishing to the store.Clone the repository, then follow these steps:

  1. Open Chrome
  2. Click Settings -> Extensions -> Load unpacked
  3. Select the repository folder

Improve on window saving mechanism

Current Behavior

On clicking the add button to save the window, an html prompt is used.

Expected Behavior

I new custom modal needs to be added to popup to save the window name.

UI Improvements needed

Expected Result

  • Larger Real-estate to display session name and created timing.
  • improved font and font colors for better readability.
  • Change list item sizes for better space usage.
  • Remove border and change distinction using different color for list item and highlight

Broken hamburger menu

Current Behavior

No action

Expected Behavior

A menu should slide in with options to be decided in the future. It should have a footer with external links.

Add functionality to update a session.

Expected Behaviour

A button beside the session name which will update the links stored in indexed-db. Also can track the changes using a text prompt.

Add details about current session to continue progress

Current Behavior

No space for details to be added about the saved session

Expected Behavior

In the pop-up modal window, beneath the window's title, a text area for adding details about the current session needs to be added.

NULL value window is saved on cancelling

Current Behavior

When cancelling the Save Window popup an entry is added with value null

Expected Behavior

Upon cancelling, a new entry should not be created.
