pgsheets's Issues

Perhaps offer pgsheets' setDataFrame and asDataFrame as PR to gspread?

For a long while, I've been using https://github.com/burnash/gspread for working with Google sheets. It has good support for creating spreadsheets, and removing/adding/modifying worksheets. It's not very good at updating cells, especially in bulk. That's why I turned to pgsheets; the DataFrame is the best abstraction available for a Google sheet's worksheet, and lots of modifications are possible, and then a bulk cell update as a single Google API call happens on setDataFrame.

Perhaps you'd like to contribute pgsheet's setDataFrame and asDataFrame as a PR to the gspread project. gspread already tests against Python 2 and 3 via Travis; and it already has a full set of features for sheet/worksheet management.

gspread actually discussed adding the equivalent of asDataFrame(), and found that it's just a snippet where the result of sheet.get_all_records() is passed to pd.DataFrame (burnash/gspread#138). setDataFrame() would require a significant code contribution, but the code in pgsheets that works with the sheet feed XML is remarkably similar to the feed XML code in gspread. It might be an easy porting job. I'd be happy to do the PR for gspread. What do you think?
