Hi Tom,
WM_CLASS(STRING) = "zenity", "zenity"
this means that the rule needs to contain class=zenity:
hc rule class='zenity' floating=onAlso, it might help to put windows with a fixed size into floating mode:
hc rule fixedsize floating=on
Still, I'm surprised that no popup dialogs are floated anymore, because you have the correct rule for the dialog window type.

Yeah, that fixed it. Guess what - I have tried a lot of things but not class :)
So - thanks a lot.
See you in another 10 years, because herbstluftwm is one of the most stable projects - apart from emacs - I've ever used. Thanks for that!
