Fix navbar nav list top padding when transition from mobile to tablet views
Currently, when you expand the mobile nav-list and then drag the screen width beyond 425px, thus triggering the tablet media query, the nav list's formatting gets messed up due to the modified class name that was triggered by JS when the nav list was expanded.
We should ensure that the correct class name is set when transitioning from mobile to larger views.
Refactor CSS code base
There are a lot of similar elements throughout the site that can benefit from generalization and refactoring. For example, there are multiple unordered lists being used that each have their own CSS styles defined, yet their styles are very similar to one another. Consolidating such styles will make maintaining the code in the future easier.
Replace Liquid code blocks with GH fenced code blocks
Posts and Notes currently use Liquid's syntax for code blocks. When viewing the markdown files on GitHub, these code blocks are not rendered. Since the notes include a link to the commit history, it might make sense to convert the syntax over to GitHub fenced code blocks so that they're rendered when viewing on GH.
Establish a consistent width for borders throughout the site
There are currently several different widths being used for borders across the site.
Establish either:
- a consistent border width throughout the site (i.e., navlinks, text links, blockquote border, etc.), or
- individual border widths that blend well with the surrounding text and elements where the border appears.
